Richard Wheatley Museum

Welcome to the virtual Richard Wheatley Museum. This is a free resource for anyone who collects, deals in or uses vintage fishing tackle made or sold by Richard Wheatley. Here you will find the history of the Company and their products made in leather, steel, wood, plastic and aluminium. Richard Wheatley lead the way when they started and continue to innovate with their modern products

The Salmon Stock Box was made from the early 1900's up until the 1970's. There are three sizes with two, three and four frames to hold 160, 240 and 320 salmon flies. A number of different shaped locks have been fitted over the time. The Slamon Fly Stock Box was made for most of the larger fishing Tackle retailers and can be found with various sellers plaques This box was also made to order and a rare four frame box for trout flies has recently been discovered

I am currently re working parts of the site, simplifying it and adding lots of additional information. With a view of making the site easier to use and much more comphrehensive. I hope to add much more as my collection comes out of storage and the information comes to hand. Sorry if what you were looking for was not available but it maybe here soon
